Audio Sessions East County Recording Studio for September

Record or mix a project in the AV studio.

Welcome! The East County Library Recording Studio provides free recording sessions to support our community in creating music and recorded projects.

Registration is required as openings are limited.

This registration will be for September recordings. New registrations open at the beginning of each month for the following month. Demand is high, and spaces are limited, so we apologize if we are unable to get you in this month. 

Only one registration per project please. A project can be an individual or group of up to 8 people. 

Audio projects can be spoken word, voice over, storytelling etc. Sessions are not limited to music only. 

1. Booking Process: Submissions are reviewed and booked in the order received.
2. Scheduling: Sessions take place on Thursdays between 10 AM and 5:30 PM. Please note: Applicants cannot choose their own dates or times. Once we review your request, we will contact you as soon as possible with available days and time slots.
3. Project Feasibility: If a requested project scope doesn't seem feasible within our schedule or equipment limits, we will work with you to revise the project so it works at the studio.
4. Session Lengths: 2-hour, 3-hour, 4-hour, or 6-hour blocks (6 hours maximum).
5. Engineering: An in-house audio engineer is provided and will be present during the entire session.
6. Project Limits:
   1. Multi-tracking or Mixing: Limited to 1 song (under 10 min) per session.
   2. Live Tracking: As many songs/takes as time permits within your booked block.
7. Age Requirement: Anyone under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

After registering you will receive an email with a form to be filled out. This will help determine scheduling.
